“A Silhouette Painting” Victorian

Silhouette paintings gained popularity during the Victorian era as a quick and easy method to capture a sitter’s portrait using pen and ink. This profile portrait of a gentleman is framed in a dark wood oval frame and measures 11cm x 9.3cm. There is some damage to the glass, which can easily be replaced if preferred.
