Antique Crown Derby Plate

A large, handpainted Royal Crown Derby plate with a scalloped edge and deep sides – perfect for serving bread or fruit. The plate was manufactured, c.1825, by Royal Crown Derby, in the UK and is decorated with a motif of summer flower, including peonies, forget me knots, roses and buttercups. Measures 26 cm in diam x 5cm deep, good condition for its age, there is some wear on the gold paint, outer edge, but no chips or cracks. Back stamped with the original maker’s mark of crosses swords and crown.
