“An Allotment Garden” Oil Painting by Bryan Whitfield

Allotment Garden is by British artist Bryan Whitfield (1935-2018). Whitfield was known as “the painter in the van” after several years travelling and working in France and Spain. He painted landscapes as well as studio still lifes. This delightful oil on board dates to the 1970s and is painted in his trademark earthy tones of terracotta and burnt Sienna, reds, greens and ochres. Measures 32cm x 24cm – a fabulous collector’s piece and lovely painting for all garden lovers.
