‘Antique Rose’ Oil Painting

This original antique oil on canvas painting, of roses in dish, was painted in 1913 and hails from France. The beautiful pink roses, in full bloom are set against a soft grey background and placed in a scalloped edged desert bowl. The canvas has some damage at the top right of the canvas – please see image – though it doesn’t detract from this lovely example of a floral still life from the belle epoch era. Simply framed in a pale yellow, wooden frame the painting measures 52cm x 37cm and is signed and dated, bottom left.
