“A Harbour with Boats & Red Geranium” 1930s Oil on Canvas Painting

A fabulous vintage harbour painting with sailboats, a windowsill with geraniums in the foreground and figures on the shore. Painted in oils on canvas in a vibrant palette of greens, teal, ochre, red and blue. Measures 41cm x 35cm and dates to the 1930s. A back stamp on the reverse of the canvas reveals that it was bought from the art supplier, Roberson & Co., Long Acre, Covent Garden, London, which closed its doors in 1937. There is some age-related wear to the canvas; please see the photos. Despite this, the painting is a gorgeous summery seascape for any home.
